Congratulations on your pregnancy! Although positive thoughts and emotions usually come to mind when thinking of pregnancy and motherhood – the transition after birth is not always an easy process and can be plagued with unanticipated emotions, mood swings, insomnia, stress, anxiety, and even depression.
It is for this reason that I have added Placental Encapsulation to my Midwifery Services and offer it to all new mothers as a way to help them recover more easily during the postpartum period. I am very excited about the healing benefits this service can offer, and hope that you will consider making use of the amazing healing potential of your very special placenta!
Benefits of the Placenta

- Increase and enrich breastmilk

Encapsulation Process
I charge $250 for the service. I pick up your placenta at your home or at the hospital, clean it thoroughly and then steam it for 20 minutes on both sides. It is then sliced into thin strips and dehydrated for over 7 hrs. Afterwards it is pulverized and encapsulated in “00” size vegetarian capsules for your use. Naturally the whole process is done with aseptic and sterile technique as needed.
It is recommended to begin taking the capsules after your milk comes in (around day 3)*. Dose suggestion is 2 caps/3x’s/day for 2 weeks, and then 2 caps/day or as needed afterwards. The most recent placenta I prepared yielded 180 capsules.
*placenta encapsulation can help PP depression because of the Estrogen and Progesterone left in the placenta. BUT, milk coming in is stimulated by the body’s drop in estrogen and progesterone, so it is best to wait to start taking the capsules until after your milk has come in.
Testimonials and contact information of mothers who have experienced the benefits of placental therapy are available upon request.
